Feel better about others pain…
Question:
I started school again. Im a Junior. Anyway, a LOT of people, who have been clean pored people look way worse than I do! One of the, past, hottest chicks, is now majorly broken out. I feel their pain, and I dont judge. But I feel a little better, seeing others who are worse than I. Ryan
Response:
Actually, and this is a from a person who has been greatly affected by his acne, being broken out can be one of the worst things that one has to endure, but endure it you must if you are to succeed. Let me tell you, people will accept you for who you are, if you don’t act like a "zit-face." Acne is a battle, and kicking it in the shins is the best thing you can do. Say to yourself, "I’m not a monster." Talk to people, show them what an awesome person you are, and above all, DON’T WALLOW IN SELF-PITY as I did for three whole months during the summer. Learn to live with yourself, and everything will be ten times easier. DON’T withdraw from your friends, beacause you are afraid they won’t accept you. They will be you rock to lean on if they are truly your friends. Acne is an obstacle, and like any such obstacle, it can be overcome. Look to the future, and visualize how much better you will look 6 months from now. If you really need to, pretend to yourself that your face is clear! Do whatever you can, because acne is not enough to end your life, literally or emotionally or socially. All these things are more important in the long run both for you, and your health. If you can do these things, you will be so much happier! Go to the doctor. DO WHATEVER it takes, but just assure yourself that you WILL win against acne in the end. It may be in the future, but with time acne will fail. You will win.
