Good News for Ex Phen/Fen Users

Question:

I just read the new posts on alt.support.diet.rx and thought those of you who have used and are missing fenfluramine/redux or the combo (phen/fen) would find hope in a post there about the first phen/fen lawsuit that was struck down. The post is entitled "PhenFen: Not Guilty" and is about a single case of patient vs. a doctor in FL. It was a jury trial and the jury found that phen/fen did not cause the problems the patient claimed to have suffered from its use. Not a typical case, since it involved an elderly male, but a hopeful sign nonetheless – hopeful in that expert testimony on behalf of phen/fen made all the difference.

Good, good news! Even apart from the fen/phen issue, it’s a hopeful sign that sanity may be starting to make inroads into our court system. Not that long a go a Little League was found "not guity" for injuries to a player’s eye. The judge said that injuries are part of the risks you assume when you decide to play basketball. Amen.

be starting to make inroads into our court system. Not that long a go a Little League was found "not guity" for injuries to a player’s eye. The judge said that injuries are part of the risks you assume when you decide to play basketball. Amen. So people are willing to risk lung and heart damage to look good and lose weight?

I assume you are talking about exercise here, after all many people are killed and seriously hurt by exercise. Just because it was found not guilty in one case doesn’t mean anything–what about people walking around now wearing oxygen tanks for life? People with heart damage?

What do you mean what about these people? It’s unfortuante. But do you think people who have heart damage due to exercise fell happy about it? What is your point?  It was meant to be used for a very short period of time–it’s not a crutch.

What do you mean by that? It makes no sense. Redux was approved for long term use.   It was passsed through the FDA on a vote in which it was sneaked through–the drug Co’s that make it made a fortune off this drug-

Bullshit. Let’s get some facts straight. People have been taking fen (and therefore dexfen (Redux)) and phen for 20 years. The meds have been out so long there is no longer a patent on fen or phen. You just have no idea what you are talking about. There was no vote snuck through the FDA, that is your moronic fantasy. -and now they have to pay some back–I hope they do.  I hope they go bankrupt from all the people this pill harmed.

Do you hope the company that make Accutane, the acne medicine goes bankrupt for all the people it has harmed, for all the birth defects it has caused? Should sports equipment companies go bankrupt for all the people harmed by sports? Or are you just a moron when it comes to diet meds? And when you say,"this pill" what are you talking about? Come on, show everyone just how clueless you are. I want to laugh at you some more. J

People with heart damage?  I was going to take it–I did some research on it. This drug has been banned in Europe for causing damage to people.  It was meant to be used for a very short period of time–it’s not a crutch.  It was abused by those diet clinics who gave them to anyone that asked.  It was passsed through the FDA on a vote in which it was sneaked through–the drug Co’s that make it made a fortune off this drug–and now they have to pay some back–I hope they do.  I hope they go bankrupt from all the people this pill harmed. Last year–TIME magazine had a cover story on it.  All the facts are there.

: So people are willing to risk lung and heart damage to look good and lose : weight?   Just because it was found not guilty in one case doesn’t mean : anything–what about people walking around now wearing oxygen tanks for life? : People with heart damage?   What about them? People get sick all the time and there is no proven link between fen/phen and any of the health problems you list. If you had proof, you would have mentioned it. : I was going to take it–I did some research on it. To no avail, obviously, as the ignorance you display here means you didn’t learn anything. : This drug has been banned in Europe for causing damage to people.   NO, IT WASN’T. Fen and Redux were never banned anywhere, they were withdrawn by the manufacturer for no other reason than FEAR of lawsuits. Again, you have no proof to back this statement, and simply saying it won’t make it come true. : It was abused : by those diet clinics who gave them to anyone that asked.  It was passsed : through the FDA on a vote in which it was sneaked through Huh? More salubrious bullshit. Phentermine has been around since 1959 and fenfluramine since 1973. The combo never needed FDA approval, since no combos do. Nothing was ever "sneaked" by the FDA as far as fen/phen is concerned. : –the drug Co’s that : make it made a fortune off this drug–and now they have to pay some : back. No they don’t. Another statement you simply made up. There hasn’t been a single lawsuit yet where the manufacturers lost. You are plain wrong. Or intentionally lying. Either way, your credibility is somewhere near sub-zero. : Last year–TIME magazine had a cover story on it.  All the facts are there.   I have a copy of that article and it was on Redux, not fen/phen. Plus, the article itself was as full of bullshit as your post. If there were any real facts in that article, you would have mentioned them.

But you already have your head populating your colon. Are you sure you have enough space in there? – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – c) prebiotics to nourish intestinal flora

Hi, I don’t have a weight problem but let me tell you

The fact that you posted spam here already tells us you don;”t have a weight problem.  The fact that your so called weight loss program charges people for ingredients that they either don’t need or no doubt can get much cheaper form GNC also shows you don’t have a weight problem.  However, you must have a lot of fat in your head because you have a very little brain and something must be taking up the excess space! — Claudia  (To e-mail remove no spam xx from address) For Claudia’s Cooking Newsletter celebrating low-fat and sugar-free cooking and living check out: http://www.freeyellow.com/members/cookingnewsletter/

What is in the packet is as follows:   a) a proprietary blend of natural fibers which do the following: 1) give you a feeling of fullness to decrease your appetite, 2)absorb excess dietary fat and cholesterol to take it out of the body 3) absorb toxins from the colon to remove them from the body 4) modulate glucose absorbtion to stabalize blood sugar b) friendly bacteria to populate your colon     c) prebiotics to nourish intestinal flora d) probiotics to lower the PH and improve intestinal environment e) a special nutrient which aids in digestion and elimination of toxic materials. There are no stimulants with questionable side effects.  This is different in that it is designed to promote complete health as well as weight loss. If anyone would like more information on the program my friends are engaged in Jack
