jelly belly
Question:
I have quite a little pouch of fat still on my lower belly. I can see the beginnings of muscle in the area above my belly button, but the lower part is stubborn and taking the longest to leave. The more fit I become, the more noticeable in some ways this pouch becomes. It is very "jellyish" and just plain ugly. As I add muscle, and lose fat, I know it will get better and better. If my abs would snap to as quickly as my arms and legs, I would be one happy lady.
All the muscle tone in the world isn’t going to erase the layer of fat in that area. Keep doing what you’re doing, and after a few weeks, you’ll see a difference. — Melissa 140/122/118
– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hi all, Me again. I’ve been working out for the past week and a half on the total gym. I find most of the exercises use my abs in the workouts. You would think with that, that my stomach would feel firmer but it doesn’t. The upper abs feel slightly tighter but my lower abs (big belly) feels a lot more like jello than it used to. Is it possibly because the muscle underneath is tighter and not pushing the fat on my belly out more and therefore now it is mostly fat I feel? Response:
Stomachs tend to lie flat and are very well behaved first thing in the morning lying flat on you back and regarding the ceiling. By nightfall they develop double chins and one dreams of Dr. Aaron Stone!. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – …that my stomach would feel firmer but it doesn’t. The upper abs feel slightly tighter but my lower abs (big belly) feels a lot more like jello than it used to. i’ve found that the jellyness of my stomach kinda goes up and down in steps. like i lose some weight, and it first feels jellylike. then, it "tightens up" and i lose inches, but no weight, and it feels firmer. then, i lose some weight again, look the same, and have more jellywobbles on my midsection, before it tightens up again. i don’t know if this makes sense, but i got the impression that’s how my flab works. speaking of jelly… gotta get my sugar free jell-o out of the fridge (who can resist a sweet temptation with 10 calories a serving? aaagh) nina 210/153/140
