I thought Vaporub was vaseline based??? That would be comedogenic in my book, but maybe since there is a ton of camphor in it too, it works??? Who knows, I’d like to hear from people using it for a couple of weeks and getting good results.

Has anybody in this newsgroup tried Vicks Vaporub for acne? I was told by a cousin that she uses it, and that it works for her. So I decided to try it. I had a small bump ready to become infected on my forehead, and I applied Vicks. The next day,the bump had miracoulosly disappeared! I dont know how that happened because those kind of pimples usually bother me for weeks and leave red spots after they are gone. This one didn’t even go thru its normal cycle, it just disappeared overnight. I have been using it since then for about 2 weeks. The pimples seem to heal faster. This does’t mean that I dont get any more pimples, but it heals them sometimes overnight. It seems to work more on cyst -like pimples.I was told by my cousin that it unclogs the pore and therefore the pimple doesn’t get infected, which makes it heal faster. If anybody has any experiences with Vicks Vaporub, please post. Thank you. -Vincent-
